“True love doesn’t come to you it has to be inside you.” Julia Roberts

A predestine happenstance written in the stars? Is this cosmic love connection all left up to fate? That fateful moment when everything is aligned to bring you together with “your true love”. If that is the case, then what happens when you turn left instead of right? You meet someone else? Your one true love meets someone else? If we turned the other way, we would meet the man of our dreams yet we headed right, into a fender bender? Is it possible to miss your own destiny? If destiny is that fragile I say put down your smart phone and pay attention.

A dear friend of mine used to say “luck is preparation meets opportunity”. That I can wrap my mind around. Being prepared to meet “the one” has a multitude of factors. For me it was forgiving myself of some past wrong choices. Okay, some of the choices were disastrous. Letting go what I cannot change, that’s obvious. Forgiveness, mostly for myself, and tenderness towards my own choices, good and bad. Looking at life as if things will always work out. I am a half full gal for sure. That attitude has always served me!

Is life fated or are we in charge of our own destiny? Maybe both!

How couples meet is always a story, their love story. That moment when they meet whether they connect or not it is still that moment. Happily, recanted for those who ask, “how did you meet”. The question of all questions.

It is wonderful to see two people in love to feel the bubbly energy they exude. It feels contagious that is good. However, it can also feel discouraging like you just cannot find that very same thing, unobtainable, just beyond your reach. I understand that frustration. Yet that very love magic can make you believe in fate. I am grateful that the beauty of love exists and is available to all. With an open heart that is peaceful and longing for the right connection. Being prepared with open eyes, heart, and mind fate may be right in our hands.

All of my dates, loves, kisses, are part of my love journey. Is that all ‘meant to be’ stuff… were they all meant to be? Even the goofy moments that did not last and were hours’ brief? If I embrace that these men, those meetings, and those dates, were my lesson, then yes.

I share about my love and disappointments with love, my hits and misses in the book “A Man For Every Purpose, My Naked Journey Searching For Love”. A book for all that believes in love and maybe even in fate.  A book to read and to share. I am so proud of this book I could burst. Although I would like to say I am organized, focused and cookie-cutter, that simply would not be me. I am no different than any other woman in the world. I love to love, love hard, and, in the end, have learned to love myself above all else. So here I am, writing about the many men and the multiple purposes they have served in my life. Realizing that not one man on my roster had fulfilled every single one of my needs. Perhaps one man is not supposed to? I have compiled snippets of the men that have entered my world. In the end, they have shoved me towards my bathroom mirror, forcing me to take a better look at myself. Reflection is brilliant and the strongest guidepost into ourselves.

Working on the next book in the series “A House for Every Purpose, My Journey From Pillow to Pillow” revels a woman abandoning her home in search or her identity beyond men, motherhood, author.
